Please come in and stay awhile...
So we are in great need of repainting our front doors. I would love to have a custom set made with glass insets and a wonderful handset. But alas this is not to be. So we are taking what we have and making it cooler. These are my inspiration photos, many I took while in Boston a while back, I love doors!! Anyway, I am leaning towards a simple handset like the one pictured below with my exterior accent paint color Sherwin Williams Black Fox. It is not quite black but more of a grey brown- the best color I have found and I love love it! What do you think? We have stacked stone on the front with a lot of grey in it and I think it will work well to have something striking and simple there. I will be adding Wisteria to the front for a little romance (I just thought of this last night). I would love your opinion!

I meant to post these this morning but was having some technical difficulties.
What do you think? Too much?

I just love a little interest in the bedroom display. It sets the mood for the room.

A different look at the house in South Hampton
I know we have seen this house before, but I found a few more detailed photos that I thought might be fun to share. It is such a large space filled with so much detail. And a lot of Grey!!
Have a nice weekend!

Alice in Wonderland... movie sets - through the looking glass
While I realize that most of this movie was made with special effects there were some filming locations and you cannot fail to mention the use of props that look just amazing! The new older Alice is a very refreshing change I think.
You have to love the tea party now matter how scary it is! Look at those vintage tea pots and Johnny Depp is there somewhere! This is the new party theme for Spring a Mad Hatter's Tea.
I love the detailing in the Queen's castle.. The eye patch is the best... and those little monkeys holding the candles.
In the scene where Alice sails to China she is in Charlstown Harbor in England.
The Antony house in Cornwall is Alice's home in the movie. Since the movie has come out the Antony house is offering tours including Alice's bedroom. They also have included a tea room and added various movie related pieces to their gardens.
Have you seen the movie yet? What do you think?
